15. What is each family member's most valued possession?
Why?
Wu Ba Jiu, Guo Yu Xian, Wu Wen De: TV, because TV programs
show us new things about the world.
Li Jian Chun: Gold necklace, wedding gift from my parents.
Wu Dong: Books.
Wu Xi: Candy
Wu Wen Bin: Bicycle because I can go places quicker.
Li Rong: Gold necklace, wedding gift from my parents.
Wu Xue: Candy.
16. What other possessions would you like to acquire?
We would like to have a bigger TV (30"), a VCR, and
a refrigerator.
17. What do you perceive as the signs of success?
We cannot comprehend this question. We believe that signs of
success may not be real success, and that success need not be
manifested by display.
18. What decorative or heirloom objects do you own?
Decorative: Painting scrolls, poetry written in calligraphy.
Heirloom: Long altar table under painting, black wood table,
some furniture.
19. Do you value new things or old things more? Why?
Wu Ba Jiu and Guo Yu Xian: Old things.
Younger family members: New things.
21. Describe the kinds of clothing each family member owns.
Shirts, pants, and skirts.
22. Alcohol, tobacco, and firearms: Are they available and
what family members use them?
None of the members of our family smoke or drink.
